Hosting – moved last night..

February 21st, 2009

Glad to have cpanel – moved all accounts to the second VPS – while the other one had more space and such, there are stability and care levels not being met.  Feel free to email me for details.

you can still pickup email if you like at the old server, but incoming email has been disabled so it’ll go to the new server..

Proverbs 23:4
Do not wear yourself out to get rich; have the wisdom to show restraint.

Ecclesiastes 4:8
There was a man all alone; he had neither son nor brother. There was no end to his toil, yet his eyes were not content with his wealth. “For whom am I toiling,” he asked, “and why am I depriving myself of enjoyment?” This too is meaningless— a miserable business!

1 Timothy 6:10
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

* If I am working – not necessarily smart or with much perfection, the mere energy of my activity will eventually yield benefit, if I respond to change and what is working/not working.

Proverbs 10:4
Lazy hands make a man poor, but diligent hands bring wealth.

Proverbs 22:29
Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve before kings; he will not serve before obscure men.

Ecclesiastes 10:10
If the ax is dull and its edge unsharpened, more strength is needed but skill will bring success.

Daniel 6:4
At this, the administrators and the satraps tried to find grounds for charges against Daniel in his conduct of government affairs, but they were unable to do so. They could find no corruption in him, because he was trustworthy and neither corrupt nor negligent.

1 Corinthians 4:2
Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.

Romans 13:8
Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law.

Proverbs 12:11
He who works his land will have abundant food, but he who chases fantasies lacks judgment.

Proverbs 13:11
Dishonest money dwindles away, but he who gathers money little by little makes it grow.

Apache dies after a while

December 29th, 2006

Apache was crashing and in the error log was:

[warn] (OS 995)The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request. : winnt_accept: Asynchronous AcceptEx failed

The solution from here was increasing the max requests per child from 30 (I set this) to 10000.

Here is the section in `httpd.conf` that was edited.

# WinNT MPM
# ThreadsPerChild: constant number of worker threads in the server process
# MaxRequestsPerChild: maximum number of requests a server process serves

ThreadsPerChild 250
MaxRequestsPerChild 10000
